It’s no secret that I love working out. It doesn’t hurt that I found a method that excites me, is BEYOND effective, and kicks my ass EVERY single time. I truly think that’s the secret when it comes to staying committed to working on your fitness; find a workout that makes you excited to go workout. If you told me I had to go to the gym and run on a treadmill or walk on a stair master I would die, it just doesn’t do it for me. Tracy Anderson is my jam and has done wonders for my mind, body, and endurance. I totally understand that no workout is one size fits all- so find what you love and stick with it. Make sure to get a nice sweaty ass kicking AT LEAST 5x a week, and stretch. Everyone can always stretch more. When you look good you feel good, duh.

In terms of workout attire- I always prefer a sports bra and high waisted leggings. This could sound slightly narcissistic, but I love being able to see my abs work in the mirror. It helps to remind me to engage and use my core more (something EVERYONE can work on). Below are some of my sports bra picks, cute enough to wear sans t-shirt if that’s your sort of thing.

Happy New Year everyone!! I love the start of a fresh year, it gives us the opportunity to refocus our energy and set goals for ourselves for the next 365 days. This year I really want to focus on my blog, and try to be on my phone less in social situations. I am also going to take my health and fitness to a new level. I am getting married at the end of March, and isn’t it like the rule of life to be the fittest/skinniest you will ever be on the day of your wedding?! PHOTOS LAST A LIFETIME LADIES.

This is such an exciting time in my life that I am almost forgetting that we are in the worst season of all of them. WINTER. Oh how I could do without you. You’re cold, depressing, my dogs hate you, and I would honestly just rather be in a bikini. The only thing (besides hot carbohydrates) that helps me get through winter is fashion. Boots, sweaters, pom pom hats, & furry pieces make winter worth living in. I have the attention span of like a 3 year old. As much as I love love love summer, by the end of it I need some sort of closet switch up.

As I was browsing through Shopbop this past August for some new fall and winter pieces, I stumbled upon this Mr & Mrs Italy Parka and knew I had to have her. Being the savvy shopper that I am, I waited until shopbop had their friends and family sale so I could get her at a discounted rate. I ended up getting her 25% off and I am pretty pumped about it. Moral of the story, be a smart shopper and know the stores you frequent. I love Shopbop, and they tend to have a couple of sales throughout the year. If there is a bigger ticket item that I want for the season coming up I try and hold out until then. I believe their next friends and family will be sometime in April, so start eyeing what you want now!

p.s I did NOT get a Mr & Mrs Italy with lined fur and I feel perfectly warm enough outside.

p.s.s These COH of Jeans are the best pair of jeans I own.  If you are looking for a pair of the best high waisted jeans- look no further.

Bag: Chanel / Sweater: (similar & similar) Pants: Current Elliot / Shoes: Loeffler Randall

From the second that I saw these Loeffler Randall furry babies, I knew they had to be mine. Everything from the colors of the fur to the block heel made me fall in love. When it comes to styling a statement shoe, I believe it is best to build from the ground up. Be simple, you focal point when wearing such incredible shoes, should be your incredible shoes!!! For this look I went as simple as I know how to go, black leather skinnies and a white sweater. This was shot back in October when a jacket wasn’t needed and my toes wouldn’t get cold, but you better believe I will wear these shoes in the winter if it’s not wet outside (AND if I am taking an uber). Everyone should have at least ONE statement shoe in their closet! It’s the one shoe that you won’t wear all the time, but when you do happen to wear it, it will you make you feel those new shoe butterflies all over again.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!!! Check out my statement picks below!

Sunglasses: Prada / Dress: Zara / Bag: Chanel / Shoes: Jimmy Choo ( similar)

I have a love/hate relationship with crazy printed items, especially dresses. I tend to get over them after one wear OR one good instagram photo. (WHATEVER- AT LEAST IM HONEST.) That’s why I tend to invest in key pieces that I can wear over and over again, versus a dress I will get over faster than you can say WANNA GO SHOPPING?! That’s why I love Zara. You are always destined to walk out with at least one good purchase that doesn’t drain your bank account. Hence this colorful, fun, fall dress I was lucky to find. I was originally going to pair her with thigh high boots, but it was warmer than I expected it to be so I went with these studded Jimmy Choo Booties instead. HELLO FEMININE EDGY GIRL. Once the weather gets colder, black tights and some thigh high boots will make me excited to wear her all over again! (hopefully)

HIGHER DOSE

Last week I got high naturally and it was awesome. Higher Dose is a newish spa located in the East Village (opening other locations throughout the city soon. TRIBECA!!! HAYYYYYY) that offers 30 or 60 minute sessions in their infrared sauna. Throughout the years I’ve always heard about the crazy benefits of Infrared so I was very excited to try it out. Infrared Saunas help you detox 7x more than traditional saunas. You’re basically burning calories, detoxing heavy metals and environmental toxins, boosting your serotonin, and relaxing all in a single session. What makes it different from a regular sauna is that the heat travels deeper into your body at a milder temperature causing you to sweat as opposed to just sitting in a hot room and sweating because it’s hot. YA FEEL ME?! To help you feel even better, they also have LED light therapy in every sauna. There are 6 different colors to choose from and each color holds it’s own benefits. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, they also let you DJ your own session. So make sure you have a killer playlist to sweat to.

Besides wearing comfy clothing to your appointment, my only other tip would be to bring a friend or a lovah. I brought my BFF Stacie, and it made the experience that much better- being able to catch up and laugh together, all while detoxing. I love alone time, I cherish it, but sitting alone in a heated box with no stimulation for 30 or 60 mins would get to me. JUST SAYINNNGGGG. To finish off our awesome time at Higher Dose, they offered Cryotherapy facials right after. Does this place get any better?! After the whole shebang, my mood was great, my skin was glowing but I was exhausted- I slept like a baby that night. I love that Higher Dose took a concept that has been around forever and made it very modern and trendy. I CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK. If you live in NYC or are here for a visit, definitely give Higher Dose a try!

Dress: Forever 21 / Shoes: Valentino / Bag: Chanel

I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!! It’s old news, but I FINALLY feel like a bride to be. Wedding planning is in full force and I am so excited I don’t even know what to do with myself. We are getting married March 25th at The Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles. DREAM VENUE come true. I recently tried my wedding dress on for the first time since purchasing her last December. She is the most beautiful piece of art I have ever laid my eyes. Not being able to show my fiancé a picture of her has been so hard, but I know it will all be worth it when I take my first step down the aisle (he better f* cry). Since our wedding is considered a destination, I like to call it a wedding weekend. I have a Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, AND a Farewell Brunch that I need outfits for. Besides LOVVVVVINGGGGG my outfits, my #1 rule with purchasing them is that I want them to be something I will wear again. What I have found to be the easiest with this whole process is doing it all via online shopping. I love going to a store and shopping around, but when I’m not even sure what I am looking for online shopping has been a savior. Here are some tips that have helped me along the way.

  1. Give yourself plenty of time!! It’s never too early to starting looking. There is nothing worse than feeling rushed and unprepared, especially before the biggest weekend of your life.
  2. If you are obsessed with how you feel in the outfit, but it’s 6 months before the wedding and your scared to commit because you think something better might come along- get over it.  You know if you really love something or you don’t. HELLO YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED.
  3. With online shopping, make sure whatever you purchase is returnable. You might love it online, but hate it in person. DUHH
  4. Buy items that give you a different look than you wedding dress. I’m wearing my hair down for the wedding, so for my welcome party or rehearsal dinner I want something where I can wear my hair in a cool braided up-do. SWITCH IT UP LADIES.
  5. Listen to yourself, and how YOU feel in the outfit. I don’t know what it is about weddings, but people really love to give their opinions. If you love the outfit, and it makes you feel magical, GET IT! Who cares what others have to say.

Check out some of my picks below. (Obsessing over Jonathan Simkhai and Johanna Ortiz at the moment.)

Jacket: Balmain x H&M  / Shirt: Reformation / Jeans: Mother Denim / Shoes: Gucci / Bag: Alexander Wang / Choker: Erin Dana (similar)

My leather jacket is probably one of the top 5 reasons I get excited for the weather change. Whenever I put it on I instantly like my outfit by about……. a million percent. If I were to design my dream leather jacket, I think it would look exactly like this. I’m such a black and gold girl (vs black and silver), and there is nothing better than a bold shoulder. This jacket is from the Balmain X H&M collection, and it wasn’t the easiest to get. Just like every other commoner, I sat at my computer screen waiting for the collection to become available. I was very unsuccessful and by the time I got through, all that was left was NOTHING. I wanted this leather jacket so badly that I even went to H&M AND WAITED IN LINE to find it (so embarrassing). Still unsuccessful, I just sucked it up and ordered in from someone on eBay a month later. #IWIN.

For this look I couldn’t help but wear my FAVORITE Mother Denim jeans and Gucci Furry Slippers again. Two pieces that I know I will wear / already have worn non-stop. I’m also really digging my floral Reformation crop top, it’s the perfect transitional top that I so desperately need more of. It ended up being so chilly the morning of the shoot, that I had to bring my leather jacket with me. Thank you fall weather for making my outfit cuter. Fall is OFFICIALLY here and I can’t wait to share all my looks with you. Speaking of Fall-I’ve never tried a pumpkin spiced latte. WHAT KIND OF BASIC BITCH AM I?!!?!

XOXO

FALL LUST LIST

I wanted to share my fall LUST list with all of you. Hopefully this will help inspire a new fall purchase! I added some great basics, and a couple decorative items- MY FAVVVVV. (Those furry shoes are my next purchase.) What’s YOUR favorite piece? Leave a comment and let me know! HAPPY FALL!!   >>>>>>>
